First Aid Quick Guide

Eye Contact

Remove contact lenses and rinse copiously with clean, fresh water for at least 10 minutes while holding eyelids apart. Seek immediate medical advice.

Skin Contact

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or use recognized skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners.

Inhalation

Remove to fresh air and keep patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with plenty of water if conscious. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain immediate medical attention and keep at rest.

Respiratory

Use full mask respirators with filter A if workers are exposed to concentrations above the exposure limit of 20 ppm(V). Local exhaust ventilation recommended to maintain concentrations below the occupational exposure limit.

Hands

Nitrile rubber gloves with textile undergloves required for prolonged or repeated handling. Material thickness greater than 0.5 mm with breakthrough time less than 30 minutes. Replace regularly if damaged.

Eyes

Safety eyewear designed to protect against splash of liquids

Skin/Body

Cotton or cotton/synthetic overalls or coveralls normally suitable to prevent direct contact with the mixture

Handling Precautions
  • Prevent creation of flammable or explosive vapor concentrations and avoid exceeding occupational exposure limits
  • Use only in areas with all naked lights and ignition sources excluded and appropriate electrical equipment protection
  • Always use earthing leads when transferring between containers and wear anti-static clothing and footwear
  • Avoid skin and eye contact; avoid inhalation of particulates and spray mist
  • Keep containers tightly closed and never use pressure to empty non-pressure vessels
Storage

Store between 15 and 30°C in a dry, well-ventilated place away from sources of heat and direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed and away from ignition sources. Store away from oxidizing agents and strongly alkaline or acidic materials. Prevent unauthorized access.
