First Aid Quick Guide

Eye Contact

Rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present. Seek medical attention promptly.

Skin Contact

Brush away powder gently to remove traces. Wash affected area immediately with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Inhalation

Move person to fresh air immediately. Remove source of dust exposure. Obtain medical attention without delay.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water afterwards. Do NOT induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention immediately.

Protection Needed

Respiratory

Local ventilation to keep dust levels below 1 mg/m³ (8-hour TWA) is recommended. Use suitable particle filter masks when dust generation is expected or in enclosed spaces.

Hands

Wear nitrile or rubber protective gloves to minimize dermal exposure.

Eyes

Do not wear contact lenses. Use tight-fitting safety goggles with side shields or wide vision full goggles. Have individual pocket eyewash available.

Skin/Body

Wear protective standard working clothes covering skin fully, full-length trousers, long-sleeved overalls with close fittings at openings, and caustic-resistant shoes to prevent dust penetration.

Storage

Store in dry conditions in original containers away from air and moisture exposure. Bulk storage should use purpose-designed silos. Keep away from acids, paper, straw, nitro compounds, and aluminum. Store in cool, dry place out of reach of children.
