First Aid Quick Guide

Eye Contact

Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses if present. Get medical attention immediately if symptoms occur.

Skin Contact

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Contact a doctor if skin irritation or allergic reactions develop.

Inhalation

Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical attention. Keep the victim warm and quiet. Persons who have inhaled vapors must be under medical observation for at least 48 hours.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with plenty of water if conscious. Obtain immediate medical attention. Do NOT induce vomiting. Keep victim warm and maintain an open airway.

Use a properly fitted particulate filter respirator (Type A/P2 or better) if risk assessment indicates it is necessary based on known or anticipated exposure levels.

Hands

Wear chemically resistant gloves tested to EN374. Nitrile rubber provides breakthrough time greater than 8 hours. Neoprene or rubber gloves provide 1-4 hours of protection.

Eyes

Wear safety glasses with side shields or goggles. Use face shield if splashes are likely.

Skin/Body

Wear lightweight protective clothing and long-sleeved clothing. Wear apron and impervious gloves. Wear rubber boots if needed to prevent skin contact with liquid material.
