First Aid Quick Guide

Eye Contact

Rinse eyes with running water for 15 minutes. If contact lenses are present and easy to remove, take them out. Transfer to hospital immediately for specialist examination.

Skin Contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Drench affected skin with running water for at least 10 minutes. Transfer to hospital if burns or poisoning symptoms develop.

Inhalation

Move to fresh air immediately. If unconscious and breathing is normal, place in recovery position. If conscious, ensure the person sits or lies down. Seek hospital care promptly.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Give small sips of water at intervals. If unconscious, check breathing and apply CPR if needed. Transfer to hospital urgently.

Self-contained breathing apparatus must be available for emergency response. Use if mist or vapors are generated during handling.

Hands

Wear impermeable gloves to prevent skin contact with the alkaline solution.

Eyes

Use tightly fitting safety goggles with face protection. Ensure eye bath equipment is readily accessible.

Wear impermeable protective clothing including long sleeves and aprons to prevent splashing and contact.
